Emergency Net Use
Starting a Net;
"This is _______ (your callsign), Net Control for the West Central Alabama Amateur Radio Club Weather Net. The net is now being activated as a Formal, Directed net. All contacts will be through Net Control. For the duration of this situation, this repeater is closed to normal traffic. Only stations with EMERGENCY traffic may break into the net. The purpose of this net is to provide information to the NWS, the local EMA, and the local public safety agencies. Do we have any new stations wishing to check-in at this time?"
Securing a Net;
"This is _______ (your callsign), Net Control for the West Central Alabama Amateur Radio Club Weather Net. We thank all the operators that assisted with this net. Your help was greatly appreciated. All stations may now secure from the net. The net is secured at ____ (current time). This is ______ (your callsign), this repeater is now returned to normal use."
